The Guts

It's easier to be unhappy. There's no effort and there's a reason not to be happy on every corner - a rainy day, a cold tea, a crumb on the floor. If you want to be unhappy, you'll have it at once.. there's no easier thing. Happiness is in your mind, evey life, every event and every thing is (viewed in) interpretation. It takes bravery to acknowledge the fact that it's all in your hands, that it's you who has to build the happiness. Perhaps this path isn't chosen as it looks difficult. But here I remember one epizode from "Indiana Jones" where he had to take a step into nothing while searching for the Holy Grail. What made him better than others was the bravery to take the one single step (he found out there was a step and he didn't fall down) and the further path was easy. You have to prove to life and to yourself that happiness is in your hands, it's YOUR job (yes, it's big work with yourself), that it's you who creates your interpretation and not others (commercials, religion, economics... whatever).. and - you're on your way to the Holy Grail... or, I should say, YOUR Holy Grail.
